There are times when you want to send a link to a report, and you want the recipient to be taken directly to the "View" page.
Example report:
My Fancy Computer Report
https://server.domain.com:8443/advancedComputerSearches.html?id=999
When you open a link to a report, your browser will append &o=r, as you are taken to the report main page:
https://server.domain.com:8443/advancedComputerSearches.html?id=999&o=r
When you click on the "View" tab, the link is updated with a UUID...rending the report link un-shareable (is that even a word?):
https://server.domain.com:8443/computers.html?uuid=xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
To share t report, change the &o=r to &o=v.
Change this...
https://server.domain.com:8443/advancedComputerSearches.html?id=999&o=r
To this...
https://server.domain.com:8443/advancedComputerSearches.html?id=999&o=v
When you share the link, the user is taken directly to the "View" page.
Trivial? Maybe.
