Hi all this is a bit out there, but recently (I am sure the guys from the clients site are on this mailing list) I decided that I need to know that machines were completed. I also had the unenviable task of listening to Christmas music from a third party while watching Casper Imaging work. So I created the following script during the "Blue Bar Waltz"...
Create a smart group to validate your SOE as being ready for production, i.e. binding done, MCX present etc.. then assign a policy for the any trigger and once per computer. Include your mp3 install package to be placed into the /tmp directory so at next reboot the file is erased, your script should be set to run "After".
This script will then check if your mp3 file is present and play it at the loginwidow... I used Wagner - Ride of the Valkyries
Its silly, but when watching machines image you need a little humour in your life.
