We've recently had our iPad rollout and I've added the profiles and associated Smart group to my dashboard.
I have 2 sets of groups of which both have 1 profile assigned to them, Staff and Student.
In total for Student assigned devices, we have 179, the Smart group says it has 179 members so that's all ok. Although when I look at the Profile on my dashboard, the Student profile says it has deployed to all 179 with 10 remaining devices, I am also having the same issue with the Staff group of iPads.
After a restart of the JSS this morning, I watched it for awhile and it seemed to fluctuate between having all 179 devices with 10 remaining, to 178, 177, 176 with 10 remaining back to 179 with 3 remaining and 7 failed. Then back to 179 with 10 remaining.
I also have 2 smart groups set up to report if any of these Staff or Student devices have not got their respective MDM profile installed, both groups are reporting 0 devices with no profile.
