iPad DHCP Issue

Dear Forum Members,
Network team has informed us that all iPads are generating excessive DHCP discover traffic on the network, even the device is already assigned with an IP address.
Our iPads are set up using Ethernet adapter was the main connection and Wireless as backup (JAMF deployed Wireless profile). The devices are connected both on Ethernet and Wireless, with valid IP address. I wonder this is common for iPads to continue generating DHCP traffic even it is connected on the network. Is there a way we can mitigate this behaviour before we become the finger pointing victim by network.

Also, one more question, is there any control we can build to keep the Wi-Fi off while it is connected via Ethernet adapter and automatically connect on Wireless when Ethernet becomes disconnected?

Thank you all!
