iPad, enrollment profile, network error

Hi All,

We are using Casper 8
I have been asked by one of my teammates to post the following:
"I have followed the steps located in the JAMF Mobile Device Management
manual to enroll iPads via USB. My laptop has the most recent IPCU installed
on it (V3.2). I created the Enrollment Profile as described in the manual
and uploaded the profile into IPCU. I found my device (iPad) and went
through the device prompts to install the profile. The iPad recognizes the
prompts and goes through the motions. At the "Generating Key" portion it
errors out with the following error: "Profile Failed to Install - Network
error has occurred."

The iPad is plugged into the computer and the wireless on the iPad is
enabled and working."

Others who are banging their heads against this wall, have you seen this,
and more importantly, know how to fix?

Thanks!
Sandy

Marianne, have your network folks check this kb article-
https://jamfnation.jamfsoftware.com/article.html?id=34

In particular, the last 2 ports (2195, 2196 and 5223) as they are all used in iOS communication, even during enrollment. If any of those are blocked on your network you're going to have problems.
Also, the "JSS URL (HTTP):" section under Global Management Framework > JSS URL should be filled in if enrolling with iPCU.
