This beta features a number of improvements to workflows across your iOS and tvOS devices, as well as additional enhancements and bug fixes. Here’s a rundown of what’s new:
- The mobile device configuration profiles Passcode payload has a redesigned interface and user experience. We are very excited about the changes to this payload!
- A new remote command allows administrators to enable or disable personal hotspots on iOS devices, as well as view and take action on devices that have the hotspot
enabled.
- The user limit on Shared iPad has increased from 10 to 99.
- Administrators managing Apple TV devices will be able to manage the operating system installed on an Apple TV. This is great for administrators who require their tvOS
devices to be on a specific version of tvOS.
- In-house books can now be secured with a JSON Web Token.
- The Single Sign-On settings page has been redesigned to make configuring SSO easier to navigate.
- The Jamf Pro Server tools have been updated to now include the functionality to manage the database connections to an on-premise Jamf Pro server.
How to join the beta
If you would like to participate in the beta program, please enroll at the beta homepage on Jamf Nation under My Assets. After enrollment, please reference our Release Notes for a complete listing of what is included in the beta build. Remember, this is a beta release. We strongly encourage that you not install this software in a production environment.
As always, the beta program is operated under non-disclosure, so please do not share any information regarding your testing on any public forum, including the non-beta sections of Jamf Nation.
