JAMF Sync

Just stood up a new Mac Studio as a File Distribution Server.

I followed the JAMF Admin instructions then install JAMF Sync.

When I attempt to sync from JCDS to this newer server it keeps saying that it cannot create 'Packages.

I double-checked the permissions based on the https://learn.jamf.com/en-US/bundle/technical-articles/page/Setting_Up_a_File_Share_Distribution_Poi....  When the share mounts the permissions are the admin count(read and write) and everyone (no access).  Performed 'Apply to Enclosed Items' several times.

I usually test these things from another mac using the credentials to make sure the share is working correctly.  Have you tried that?

What are you using to do the sync from JCDS?

JamfSync from GitHub.  We're syncing from JCDS to on-prem servers because we have several apps that our network team claims eating up a lot bandwidth.

Looks like JAMF doesn't fully support the Sync side project. I was told that we would need to report a Product issue in Github, https://github.com/jamf/JamfSync/issues  Seems like the last few versions of the app have had the same problems with SMB mounting/permissions as well as recognizing zip files for upload.
