Am I the only person having a problem pulling down "Java for OS X Lion 2012-002"?
http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1515
This happens on any computer, at the client site or here in our LAB...

True for me too. I am getting the same error as you did on my home mac with Mac OS X 10.7.3 using either Chrome or Safari to download.

Steve Jobs must be rolling in his grave right now...so many missteps at Apple...unbelievable.
Bug Report submitted (11232196).
With any luck this might be acknowledged and addressed by the 2016 Olympics.

I saw this at a job site today, we ran the PKG anyway and to our knowledge it looked like it worked. Of course we did not have time to thoroughly test it.
Cheers,
Tom

@tlarkin Ya, I don't trust it...the name of the PKG is wrong, and for a security patch to fail to open properly (MD5 issue?), is a concern. Good thing Apple doesn't 'do' enterprise...a security patch that warns of danger...wow...

clear the quarantine bit on the dmg and try again.
it's been covered at least here: https://groups.google.com/forum/?fromgroups#!topic/munki-dev/iPVlkt0zu7s

@rockpapergoat Nice find...unfortunately clearing the quarantine bit doesn't seem to work. We tested on a few Lion Macs. But according to uber-guru Greg Neagle it's a spurious error so we can hit OPEN and be done with it.
No error when we run Software Update via GUI or terminal.

Hey everyone,
I have not yet had a chance to look at this specifically, but I do have one question. What is the difference between downloading the pkg manually versus typing `java -version` in the terminal in 10.7 and installing Java? If you do it via the terminal in my attempt on my laptop it works. Are the PKGs different?
Thanks,
Tom

Heads up! There's a new Java version out from Apple now I JUST ran into. It was so new that the linked kb article in Software Update didn't even bring me anywhere when I first tried it, but its been updated now. New versions for SL and Lion respectively are:
Java for Mac OS X 10.6 Update 8 (JavaForMacOSX10.6.8-8.0)
and
Java for OS X Lion 2012-003 (JavaForOSX-1.0)
Description from Software Update.app:
This Java security update removes the most common variants of the Flashback malware. This update also configures the Java web plug-in to disable the automatic execution of Java applets. Users may re-enable automatic execution of Java applets using the Java Preferences application. If the Java web plug-in detects that no applets have been run for an extended period of time it will again disable Java applets. This update is recommended for all Mac users with Java installed.
