Great presentation! I did think of another hybrid imaging method that I played with some time ago.

You can install "OS x server" onto an external boot drive. Set up file sharing, assign it a static IP/DNS info and then set it up as another 'real' distribution point in the JSS. Then, not only can you use the selective replication (when it's online) but you can also pre-stage from the drive.

That's a great solution for sites that do not have a strong connection back to the home office. You're basically talking about creating a mobile distribution point.

Yep, you got me thinking when you mentioned using Casper imaging from a boot drive.
