#K12 Whispercast, Kindles, and iPads in Schools

Has anyone tested or started using Amazon's Whispercast to distribute Amazon books and other content? Sounds like it has many MDM features for Kindles and for the Kindle app (for iPad, Android, etc) and its free.

We're contemplating using Whispercast to distribute Amazon books to the Kindle app on iPads. I heard that Amazon has 15,000 classic novel titles for free and that Whispercast can distribute them very easily. The Kindle app might be good for English Literature classes or libraries to have and for us (or the local schools) to use Whispercast to distribute the content.

Thoughts?

We have not looked at Whispercast, however it may pay to take a look at this article regarding 3M and E-book distribution and also to look at http://www.mackin.com/index.aspx This is a web based ebook, but that means every student in a class can access the same book at the same time, and once you purchase the book you own it for life, plus it can be tied into your library system.

Anyone out there using whispercast? I wish I could find some screenshots online.

It's interesting the now say they allow mass app distribution to Fire's. Would love to see what that looks like in reality. If it's similar to how ChromeOS let's you push web apps, it could be great.
