LDAP vs Inventory Preload

We had iPads enrolling with inventory preload with devices going into smart groups based upon the column position.
We have now connected Active Directory through LDAP.

Now enrolling a new device we are not getting the position pulled from the Inventory Preload.

We were told Inventory Preload takes priority over LDAP

Any suggestion why position is now not being pulled?

@user-ZxKMZQuMAX Are you mapping that field in your LDAP setup in Jamf Pro? Also in the management settings make sure Collect user and location information from LDAP is unchecked. Both of those would zero out or add another value in that field that would take precedence over any manually imported values.

You must have a small number of devices or lots of helping hands to set those up if you're not using LDAP or an SSO to enroll them.
