loginhooks and delays (offline use)

Hi everyone,

I am curious how other Casper user are handling that problem.

We see delays when our users are logging in and logging out when the jss is
not visible (offline use)
This is caused by the JSS managed login and logout hooks:

## Get MCX Settings for the user /usr/sbin/jamf mcx -username "$1"

## Log the event to the JSS /usr/sbin/jamf log -action login -username "$1" &

## Check for policies on the JSS /usr/sbin/jamf policy -action login -username "$1" &

The log files show that we have a delay by approximately a minute.

Changing the hooks solves the problem until the management framework is
forced again.

How do you guys work around that issue?

Are you using your own login/logout hooks.
Or is there something I am missing that I do not run in those offline
issues.

As suggested from JAMF for a similar issue I'm having, you'd have to
Turn Off "Apply User Level Management" in the JSS Web Interface, and
create a policy scoped to everyone that runs on login, ongoing...
