I seem to be having an issue with printing in Big Sur in our labs. We have AD printers and I have always set them up using lpadmin.
Since upgrading to Big Sur, The only ones that can print, or the ones that log into the Macintosh and are admins on that Macintosh. I have added everyone and the domains and even the current use that is logged in to the lpadmin group, and still the print job doesn't even get to the print queue. It will spool the pages and then immediately flash a print error message, that is too fast for me to read, and the print job never reached the print queue.
I've created the printer as a printer object as well, with the same results.
Is anyone else experiencing this issue and have any guidance?
Thank you in advance!!

If you open terminal and monitor the cups log you might get some info. The command I just used is:
tail -f /var/log/cups/access_log
run that and see if that error message shows up. Otherwise maybe it appears in the system.log which you could also tail
tail -f /var/log/system.log
