We have 26 mac mini's in a lab on an 802.1X network in a lab that isn't used all the time.
Those machines often do not check in to JAMF automatically. Only when someone physically goes to the machine (or we use a third party remote desktop tool), do they then show a new checked in date.
We have the display set for one hour. We have hard drives set for not going to sleep. They are on an ethernet connection with wireless turned off. The power policy is set via JAMF.
It clearly says prevent computer from sleeping automatically when the display is off.
So, they aren't asleep, they are always online, yet they will stop reporting until we physically go to the machine and get back to the desktop?
