I have a MacBook Air which I added via QuickAdd package, initially it said Failed on Enrollment but when I search computer inventory, it showed up as being managed - this was great as I wasn't able to get any MacBook Air's enrolled via the QuickAdd Package or Recon. The issue I'm having now is that I'm trying to push down policies and they are not pushing to the machine, checked the extension attributes section in inventory and almost all the attributes fail. I attempted to push the policies to a MAC MINI and it works no problem.
Has anyone been having issues with enrolling MacBook Airs or seen this issue? Can I manually update the MDM to reflect the new machine?

How is the MacBook Air trying to enroll to JSS? WiFi or ethernet dongle?

I have a similar problem. Enrolled numerous MBA's using the USB to Ethernet dongle and running QuickAdd package. Recon will remove one MBA from this location for every one I add. So we can only add three MBA's and then it will remove one to keep the total at three. Any ideas why this is happening and how to fix it?

Amy - Have you added your USB dongles MAC address to the Removable MAC address section of the JSS? If youre constantly using the same dongles for all MBAs, you will have issues.

Copy all of your USB ethernet dongle MAC address's to the Removable MAC address list. This option can be found under JSS - Settings - Inventory Options
On 8.XX versions, JSS associates the client with their MAC address's (if enrolled via wifi then wifi MAC address), from version 9.XX, it uses the clients UDID but its strongly recommended by the Casper team to enter the dongle MAC address in the ignore list.

USB Dongles are added, JAMF replicated the issue. It's hit or miss if the system will enroll or not.
