MacBook fan running all the time after enrollment

So, I have enrolled about 50 MacBooks in our environment and have had complaints on just about all of them. Basically, once the machine is enrolled (which also includes an AD binding) and the user logs in the first time with the Managed Mobile (AD) account, the machine is just SLOW and the fan runs ALL THE TIME. I took 2 MacBook Airs over to my local Apple store to run diagnostics on them and they all came back fine. Usually, imaging the machines with a fresh copy of an OS and then enrolling the machines again will resolve this issue. Has anyone else experienced this? Any thoughts to what might be causing this? I did remove a "run every 15 minutes" policy for a security banner to be placed before the log in. I just moved it to a "run once per computer" frequency. There are no other policies that are triggered by the every15 anymore. Yet, a service called JAMF runs on the machines at about 50 processor usage. Most of my users have requested that Casper be "removed" from their machines, so I have deleted the object from the JSS. Is there more I need to do on the machines to completely "remove Casper"?

Have you tried resetting the SMC on any of these? It would be a pretty random thing to break, but give it a shot. Constant fan to me says it's usually SMC issues.

If you need more info on doing that, check this KB article from Apple: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3964

Yes the first thing I did to these machines was to reset the SMC. It didn't seem to help on any of them. Interestingly, it doesn't seem to matter if it's 10.6 or 10.7. It affects both platforms equally.

Do you update inventory (recon) @ login?

If you run the below, how long does it take to complete?

sudo jamf recon

I'm having the same issue, the jamf application is running non-stop, but I'm only experiencing it when I'm not in the office. If I connect the VPN, jamf stops running. I know that I can just make the connection to our JSS available on the internet, but this wasn't happening until I updated to 8.52.
