If it's anything like the McAfee ePO install, it's tricky because if you
create a package install, your McAfee server will only see the one GUID
serial number on multiple Macs. The first Mac to check in with the ePO
server will be registered and get the VirusScan download, but any Mac after
will be treated as a duplicate.
We created a package that copies the ePO installation files to the Mac's
/Users/Shared folder and then run a script that triggers the install
command. Then we use a logout script that removes the ePO folder from
/Users/Shared.
Since the actual install triggers on the Mac, it creates it's own GUID
number and the ePO server is happy.
The biggest headache we found was if we ran an unsuccessful install, we had
to dig out ALL the McAfee files (including hidden files in
/Library/Preferences/) and Restart the target Mac before testing again. That
tripped us up a couple times because we hadn't done a clean uninstall and
the ePO server was still seeing the duplicate GUID.
