Had a question my son lost an iPad from school and didn't have the find my iPhone app. Can we located using a MDM on the iPad? And also how about if they did a fabric reset mode? Can we do something ?

I would definitely talk to your school support. If you had the device enrolled in MDM they might be able to track it for you. It has a few "if's"....

if it is connected to wifi
or if it has some data connection
or
if it hasn't just been thrown in the garbage
or
etc

but talk to them and see what they can do :)
