I'm looking at migrating our dns from one name to another so instead of it being casper.x.domainname.com it would just be casper.domainname.com
I'm under the understanding that you have to re-enroll the clients for this to happen. Is this correct?

Depends. If you've got a wildcard SSL cert (*.domainname.com) you'd be okay as is.

right now its the internal cert.
but how do I update the computers to always call the new Dns?
