Migrating to 2012 R2 Domain

We are thinking of migrating to Windows 2012 R2 servers this summer.

I have heard some mentions that OS X performance with SMB 2012 Shares is noticeably better than 2008 shares. Any truth to that? Any other benefits for the OS X clients?

I've just finished migrating over from 2008 and some 2003 to full 2012 R2.

Things do feel a little smoother and quicker in general.

Regardless, it's probably time to dump 2008 if you can.

I can also confirm SMB on 2012 seems more stable than our 2008 JSS/File share.
