Mounting Network Shares

Hey JAMF'ers

Our old method of mounting network shares was done via Applescript tied to a launchdaemon, implemented before I started working at the company. I've just been re-hacking it every few months as production's needs change.

It works fine, but I'm sure there is a better way. What is the now standard method for deploying network shares to mount at login?

Most of these shares require user authentication over active directory.
Some are SMB, but we also use Omneon Mediagrid storage which uses a dedicated Filesystem Driver.

Anybody have any recommendations or best practices? Script triggered by login policy? Configuration profile? Just keep on trucking with the Applescript?

Thanks -

Not so long ago we moved from Ben Tom's script to NoMAD, which has built-in functionality.

Configuration Profiles never worked reliably for us.
