NBI showing old name after updating to new NBI

We created a NBI image with AutoCasperNBI and uploaded it to our server. We removed the old "test" NBI and changed it. Now when we netboot a client mac, it just shows the old NBI file name despite it not being anywhere.

On a side note, we are unable to stop and restart the NetBoot service. Does this have anything to do with it?

@rpayne Is this rhe NBI's broadcast name or the name of the NetBooted client?

Also, what NetBoot server?

@bentoms It's the Netboot/SUS Appliance ver 4.0.0 from JAMF. Forgive me I'm new to this. AutoCasperNBI was the utility I used to create the NBI

Is that what you are asking?

@rpayne No worries. That's my site & ACNBI is my app :)

Just wondering where your seeing the same name.

It's brutal, but what happens if you restart the NetSUS?

@bentoms Well, that made it update on a mac client (Huzzah!). Your app is amazing kind sir. The client now boots into its factory image when the NBI is selected instead of NetBoot. Clearly something is amiss with something I did.

@rpayne What OS is the NetBoot & what model of Mac is the client?

@bentoms The NetBoot is 10.11.3 and the current client we are attempting is a MacBookPro12,1. We have also tried a MacBookPro11,5.

@rpayne odd.. we have them booting fine to OS X Server hosted 10.11.3 NBI's.

Did you select Serve Image Over NetSUS/BSDPy?

What's the NBI's name?

Ours is running on a Linux VM. I did select Serve Image Over NetSUS/BSDPy. The NBI name is 10.11.3v2.nbi

@rpayne Hmm. NetSUS does some odd things with sed, even NBI's with the extension .sparesimage do not work... But they work fine in OSX Server.

Can you maybe recreate with the name not having .nbi at the end?

@bentoms The output file is .nbi. Are you suggesting removing the .nbi that is automatically added?

@rpayne Oh, I meant what is the name the client sees... not the folder name.
