A few weeks ago, I rebuilt all of our OSX servers (which host netboot and distribution points) to Lion from scratch.
We are having some sporadic netboot issues where a technician will select netboot from option menu, but it doesn't boot to netboot, it boots to mac HD.
If tech reboots and tries again, it almost always works.
I have a ticket in with Apple and did a packet trace with no response.
What's the most number of clients you guys have netbooted to one server? I'm beginning to wonder if that's the issue, they are hitting the max number of connections. We didn't run into this last year, but maybe that's because we were using netinstall vs netboot?
On the netboot settings, I changed the max AFP diskless connections to 200 but no idea if that does anything.
