Noob question - Can JSS give me a list of Web based apps used? Salesforce for example?

With all the cloud apps I'm trying to get a handle on processes running vs apps installed on the client machine. Looked through the discussion board but don't see anything. Suggestions?

No it cannot. The Casper Suite isn't really intended for monitoring things like web usage. While it can do basic application usage, in the sense of, 'was Safari open on this Mac, and for how many hours a day (total)?', it won't show you if the user was in Salesforce.com all day or on YouTube within Safari. For that, you will want to look at web filtering and monitoring products.

Thanks for the info. I will look into alternatives for monitoring web app licenses.

Not sure what you use for AV but we use Sophos Cloud for AV and it handles web filtering for both Macs and PCs so if you have a mixed environment that's not a bad way to go. Sophos isn't the best AV company in the world and they can be slow on their Mac support (especially upon when a new OS is released) but it would kill 2 birds with one stone for you, if necessary.

Good luck!
