OS X Mail config via configuration profile

So we're trying to get our users' Mail app working with their email account over a configuration profile. No matter what we do, we can't seem to get it working for OS X. The same settings, applied in a conf profile for iOS, work without any issues. Anyone knows what the cause of this would be? The results are very random:

• Mail app freezes up with spinning beach ball
• Mail app asks for a new account to be set up
• Mail app constantly asks for user password, even after is has been entered

We've isolated the last issue, it was a cfprefsd issue that is already well known in Apple community, but we can't understand why the configuration profile for Mail for OS X just doesn't work. We're using mobile accounts for our users.

Can you post the unsigned xml profile so we can see what you're trying to deploy?
You can strip the cert from the profile by bringing it into Configurator and then exporting unsigned.

Ah, it was just an issue that the local user wasn't MDM activated. With the help of our JAMF Support rep in Amsterdam, we solved the issue very fast.
