Packaging Adobe Reader

Not applicable

Is it just me or does anyone else ever have problems packaging Adobe Reader ? We always find it very hit and miss.
It comes in a .pkg file, but it doesn't seem that you can just use that from Casper. We have tested this and it
doesn't seem to work. I was working on Intel and PPC packages for the 9.3 version today and I am having mixed results.
I can get a package that seems to work for local accounts, but it crashes with server based ones, even if I use a clean account.
Does anyone have a diff file for version 9.3 that they know works ? Would be great if someone could send that to me. Is there some
secret to this ?

Thanks,

Hi-

The pkg from Adobe is odd. It's some sort of compressed package. I've
always done the installation on my packaging machine and only included the
/Applications/Adobe Reader 9/ folder. Seems to be fine every time.
Obviously, you have to do separate PPC & Intel versions. I don't know why
Adobe can't get that one squared away...

Roger,

Worked like a charm. Will continue to test more deployments next week.
