where at Jamf to inform about this?

I think this is more on the Slack Download than on Jamf, because if you download it from the App Store, the version is "4.40.120" already.

Looks like 4.40.120 came out yesterday, it takes Jamf 24-48hrs to update their Mac App and Patch Management definitions. If you need something faster than this, I suggest you use smart groups and policies that you can manually update as needed.

OK thanks first time I run into this error - use Installomator for Slack updates

Looks like Jamf's Mac Apps have been updated for 4.40.120. Is there a reason you are not using that?

No - it is just setup with Installomator and till this day it always works. I added it to my to do list (App Store)

The issue should now be resolved as Slack have now added the correct download version to their download site: https://slack.com/ssb/download-osx-universal
This was causing issues in my environment too with the URL previously stuck providing the old v4.39.95.

Looks like Slack have yet again reverted from v4.40.120 to v4.39.95 on their download site. Despite automations starting to work again for a couple of hours, now have issues again.

Would love to know why Slack keeps swapping and changing the version they are providing for download.
