Pending patch installations count

Hey all!

I am trying to find a way to "delicately nudge" our users to open Self Service and execute available updates and the standard notifications aren't doing the trick because they aren't arriving to the users.

So I though I could come up with a policy that somehow figures out if the computer has available Self Service patches and if so, send a notification (JAMF Helper, Yo, whatever). Is there a way, from a machine, to know if there are pending patches?

Thanks in advance for any hints!

Ditto on this. The force update option in a patch policy is a non-starter for me and having updates appear pending in Self Service is fine but the occasional count badge on the Self Service.app dock icon isn't loud enough to catch people's attention.

We use Support.app for the most gentile surfacing of available Software Update pending items, would be nice to be able to add a custom tile there for showing pending updates from Jamf in Self Service.
