Morning all,
We are trying to create an audible warning script for our users. I am not a scripter but am learning from you all.
What we have currently is a line in Files and Processes, osascript -e "set Volume 100"; say -r 200 "Good Morning! You guys Rock!!!"
This works great for when the message is generic but when we need to personalize it not so good.
What we would like to do is grab the logged in users name, GREP I think, and then add the message to it. So it would say something like Good Morning Fred! You Rock!
This may need to be a script, something that Greps the /usr/ file or maybe the /etc/profile?
I am hoping that someone out there has had to do this in the past and has something that would work great.
