Pkg install at Lion login window problems?

Has anyone seen/ know about any problems installing packages at the login screen for lion?

On Snow Leopard I'v been installing a package at the login screen after imaging, which streamlines the imaging process since it doesn't require anyone to be logged in at the time.
Its a PKG that is copied to the HD, and then launched via script. Its done this way because an install config file in the same local folder is referenced during the install.

Now, with the Lion client I'm working on, this same package fails when launched at the login screen. If a user is logged in, it works fine.

I can confirm seeing the same issue. It may be only for PKG installers that put file in /Users/* but I can not confirm that.

I have an at reboot script that runs a manual trigger to install some packages post image (pkgs provided by manufacture that I didn't modify).

They all seem to install fine at login window on Lion
Sophos (.mpkg)
Flash (.pkg)
Shockwave (.pkg)

I've tried some tests with other packages and don't have an issue.
This is for Checkpoint FDE. Its a MPKG that is copied to the HD during imaging and launched via script later since it requires a reboot to its own partition and it references a profile config file during install. I'v also tried installing it using the adobeinstall user account at first-run and that is giving the same results.

Adam were you able to get your Checkpoint package working? I am trying to create a similar task and wanted to know if it even works.
