OneDrive KFM is a feature similar to Apple iCloud Drive Desktop & Documents sync but for OneDrive. Please up vote on Microsoft's forum. We really need this feature in our Mac labs so students can login to any Mac hand have their Desktop & Documents folders automatically synced to the OneDrive.

@McGinn Based on recent comments in the MacAdmins Slack #microsoft-onedrive channel they're probably past the just thinking about it stage. Nothing has been announced yet though.

Is there any update on this? I'm being asked to configure our students Macs (which have profiles removed at logout) so that when each student logs in their OneDrive is synced automatically, after completing quite a bit of research it appears that this is not completely possible at the moment, is this correct?
We seem to be in a position where we can automatically run OneDrive at login but our students will need to enter credentials then a sync will take place, there is the option to utilise third party software to mount OneDrive onto the desktop but again users would need to enter credentials although this would get around any sync concerns we have. any suggestions welcome. Thanks

@EHoug If you watch the recent Developing Mac Apps at Microsoft - Q&A Panel session from the MacAdmins 2020 Campfire Sessions "Conference" you will see the question of when asked many times, but Microsoft has yet to give an official ETA.

At least KFM is on the official OneDrive product roadmap for the end of the year, although it appears it will require the updated File Provider APIS in macOS Monterey.
