We're experiencing an issue where sometimes when an Active Directory user saves a PowerPoint in PowerPoint for Mac 2016 to a network folder on a Windows share, the permissions are set incorrectly and when they next try to open the file the user is unable to.
We're able to correct this issue temporarily by taking ownership of the file and setting appropriate permissions but we'd like to understand why it's happening.
We tried removing the "CREATOR OWNER" permissions from the folder on the Windows side but this does not seem to have helped. The user does not have "Full Control" of the folder, only Modify, Read & Execute, List Folder Contents, Read, and Write.
Can anyone suggest why this might happen and how we can prevent it?
