.PPD Access denied for lpadmin script

I've created a post install script for Composer below and the .pkg installs the drivers for the required printer. The .pkg that I've built works fine on some Mac OS's but I'm noting that the installer sometimes fails due to an access denied when trying to access the .ppd folder. The users have admin accounts so I'm unsure why the access denied error occurs. Also I'm finding that the installer is prompting the user on occasions due to non compatibility yet it's the same OS that the .pkg was created on.

Any guidance on this matter appreciated.
