Afternoon Jamf nation
Just want to check some thinking around our prestage.
Where going through a process of removing an old admin account which is no longer required, as we now managed admins through Jamf connect with admin groups configured in azure.
Im right to say its still needed in the pre stage, as it does need to install an admin as the first user. We are already removing it has part of build process.
Im assuming there isnt away for it not to exist in the pre stage.
Thanks
Tom

You can absolutely leave the admin account out of your PreStage enrollment. But if you do, you'll be required to create your first user account as an admin whether you do that using the Setup Assistant or Jamf Connect.

So I belive Apple require you to have at least one admin.
Can this be built in management account set through
would that count?
Seems I'm duplicating admin accounts for no reason, I dont need the management account admin and other local admin.
It doesnt seem possible to not set an admin account and skip account creation which I assume it needed for jamf connect.
I have jamf connect config in my prestage, jamf connect package & config profiles. Just struggling with how you can leave the admin accout out as doesnt seem possible from the tests I have done.

Not really sure thats going to work given we dont want the user to be admin when they login. We are using Jamf connect.
I guess it makes more sense to remove it as part of the build process which we currently do.
I must be missing something from my pre stage as dont get Jamf connect login window when I remove the admin account. Just the account setup window.
Thursday
All good now?

yep needs to stay to work alongside jamf connect.
Its Apple requirment as well which I was already aware of but was worth some furture testing.
