Pre-update message

Hello Everyone,
I’m wanting to display a message using a script set to ‘before’ to tell people updates are running behind the scenes. Using some of the scripts posted here previously, I made the following applescript:

display dialog "Your Computer is being updated. Please do not shut down or put your computer to sleep (or close the lid) until a message says it is complete." giving up after 120 buttons {"OK"} with icon stop

It runs fine locally, but if I run it using Casper it throws a 1713 error saying ‘no user interaction allowed’. Has anybody else seen this? I have the timeout in there so the button goes away after 2 minutes if no one clicks it as otherwise it holds everything up and won’t display the ‘you need to reboot’ message at the end to the user.

John
