Problem importing plist manifest to JSS

I have raised this with Jamf already but anyone had a problem importing plist manifest files in to JSS?
Yes I have ran plutil ...and Jamf guys managed to import my plist to their JSS without any problem.

I have tried different browsers and Macs. Even tried from server root level locally.

Error I am getting is; format not recognised or similar (not at work now so don't remember exactly)

What version of JSS? If you're not running the latest version then you may

Also, are you importing a manifest or a .plist file? They're similar but
not the same.

JSS v7.31. I have tried MS Office manifest com.microsoft.plist and plist file com.apple.loginitems ...but both files have been successfully imported by JamfSupport on their JSS??!! There's something to do with my server I believe...I have fixed permissions rebooted and repaired MYSQL db too.

Hi Cem,

We are also experiencing the "The selected file was not valid" error no matter what we do. Did you resolve this at all?

Cheers,

Toby

@Toby
It was something to do with firewall. But since I had this issue I have moved the server to different location with less restrictions and all good now.

Thanks a million, I'll try that.

We're still having issues with this, firewall up and down. It's been present across all the JSS vm's we've ever built from 8.62 up to 8.71. The JAMF software log file shows the entire .plist contents but some sort of XML parsing error. Any thoughts?

This issue is actually to do with the server needing to speak to the Apple servers to compare the plist file before it is allowed to upload to the JSS server. If the firewall restrictions were taken down a notch this could resolve the issue. Obviously you need to decided if you can do this before hand or not as some company's do not allow this subsequently this means that you are not able to get the upload working at all.
