Dear All
I'm trying to set up backups on our new casper server but am getting an error starting JSSDatabaseUtil.jar
It's Casper 8.31 on 10.7.2 Server and I tried this on
my test machine which has 10.6.8 server as well
I cd'd to
/Library/JSS/bin/
And then ran JSSDatabaseUtil.jar with the following results.
its-nix-083:bin admin$ ./JSSDatabaseUtil.jar
./JSSDatabaseUtil.jar: line 1: PK: command not found
./JSSDatabaseUtil.jar: line 2:M_F?: command not found
./JSSDatabaseUtil.jar: line 11: syntax error near unexpected token `('
??E?S(=?9k?JU?}D?]???p?~'??;1: `?O?X????>`?
?<??.C?/`k1?E?h?&?u?u????PK' ?
I get the exact same output on either Server OS. I also get the same results if I use sudo
Everything else seems to be working.
I've looked in the Casper forum but can't see anything on this.
Any idea why this might be happening or how I can troubleshoot it?

Looks like the solution was to just run it from the finder - not the
command line :)

if you run it like so, it should work: java -jar /path/to/JSSDatabaseUtil.jar
