Hi,

I am running with the Adobe Reader 9.4.0 on my Mac OS. I tried upgreading it to the Adobe Reader 9.5.2 (manually).
I have downloaded the update from ftp://ftp.adobe.com/pub/adobe/reader/mac/9.x/9.5.2/misc/AdbeRdrUpd952_ all_i386.app.zip
when i double click on the AdbeRdrUpd952_all_i386.app it ask for to choose the copy of Adobe Reader to update.
So i selected the location /Applications/Adobe Reader where my current Adobe Reader.app is (Adobe Reader 9.4.0) but farthe i am not able to select OK button.
Kindly guide me how i can update my adobe Reder with this 9.5.2 version.

But i am looking for a manual process is it possible?

Forget in app updating for Acrobat and Reader products.

Little tip for you... this has never ever worked properly for years.

Download all the updates and install them in order manually

Administration of the Acrobat & Reader products is a shambles

Easily overlooked. Don't worry not you, it's Adobe being pants again with their installers. In my opinion Adobe Corporate need a massive kick up the arse to rid these stupid installers.

Adobe... Just to let you know, the modern world uses pkgs that admins can actually use!

@tkinpton
Thanks for advice..
For updating 9.5.2
http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=5436
as per url above it says.....
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
This update requires that Adobe Reader 9.5.1 is installed on your system.

I am confused here.. As i said i am running with the Adobe Reader base Version 9.4.0 and if i am looking for an update using Adobe Reader >> Help >> Check for Updates its shows me........that.... An Update for Adobe Reader to version 9.5.2 is available. Do you wants to install it now?

It means that if i will chose Yes it will update my current Adobe Reader 9.4.0 to Adobe Reader 9.5.2.

So same thing i tried to do manually by downloading the update from the given url....
http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=5436 it downloads the version Adobe Reader 9.5.2.(AdbeRdrUpd952_all_i386.dmg). double clicking the installer it ask to choose the copy of AdobeReader to update.
I have Adobe Reader 9.4.0 in Applications >> Adobe Reader 9 >> Adobe Reader.app
Logically it should choose this location only right?

Kindly Advice...
