Putting a JSS on Windows Server 2012 R2, yes/no?

We are looking to put an external JSS in the DMZ and one of our options is a VM running Windows Server 2012 R2. Does anyone have any experience with this? I noticed a few posters from early last year (Jan 2013) tried out 2012 with no major issues, have you guys moved up to R2?

My background is all Mac, so any advice or recommendations will help.

Thanks!

Did you end up moving forward with this?

1 piece of advise: Get familiar with your custom MIME types in IIS.

is the JSS web interface incompatible without modification to MIME types in 2012 R2?

There is only one true OS to run a JSS on GNU/Linux ;) This is also the platform the JAMF Cloud runs on and probably the majority of testing is done against.
