I have a very small number of machines that caught the MCX bug from a 7.1 netinstaller which it adds the jamfsoftware mcx file. I am writing a simple script to check for it and if it exists, terminate it.
However, I cannot for the life of me find a machine that is affected.....so I need to know exactly how it is spelled since Unix is case sensitive when checking for full file paths.
I think it lives here:
/Library/Managed Preferences/com.jamfsoftware.MCX.plist
Can anyone confirm this for me? I will keep trying to find an affected machine but at this point it is like finding a needle in a haystack since I caught on to the bug really quick. I think maybe 100 to 200 computers out of 8,000 are affected.
