You could also email the quickadd.pkg out and have the user install it
them self. Or have department heads or on site tech people do it.

I've taken a QuickAdd.pkg (using a recon-only username/encrypted password combo) and added Self Service.app to it (installed into Applications), and put it on an internal site/emailed out the links to people.
You advertise that it will install Self Service, but it also adds the jamf binaries, points it to the JSS, and does a recon. Have several "run once" policies which are executed once the machine is first seen, to create hidden users, configure ssh/ARD, turn on the firewall, set the internal update server, et. al. - very, very slick...
