Hello all,
I have a student that when he goes home the self service app does not work. He gets the following message:
Self Service has Encountered a Problem
Unable to access https://mdm.logosprep.org:8443//selfservice2/index.html?.............The request timed out.
I have had test pinging the server while he is at home and he does get a response back. When he brings his computer to the school Self Service works fine. I have talked to his dad about their network and they have nothing special set up other than the default settings of the equipment out of the box.

Any funny (i.e.: unexpected) entries in his host files?

It's an ip conflict. His subnet locally(at home) is the same as the subnet that your JSS server is on. I've had this issue before.
I bet if you had him try it at a public wifi(i.e. Starbucks, McDonalds, Public Library, etc) it would work fine.
