HI,
Could anyone verify for me that their policies or Casper Remote
installation of packages are working on 10.4.11?
I am at JSS v 8.3.1 and my standing policies are not installing known
good packages (they are running scripts as expected).
Casper Remote also not sending, though feedback says "successful"
Thanks!
Sandy

Sandy
Our JSS is at version 8.3.1 and all is working with 10.4.11. Could it be
that the package in question is restricted to a newer OS?

Hi Mark,
Thanks very much for the response!
I just started looking, but since 10.4.11 is off the "officially"
supported list with the release of 10.7, I thought I'd check prior to
digging deeper :)
Already checked OS and architecture restrictions, can mount the volume
manually at the machine, and checked a couple different packages,
also tested w/ Casper Remote, as I initially noticed the problem with
a policy. Script is running, but accompanying package not
installing...
On further checking, some packages are working....yay, i think?

Sandy,
I spoke too soon, our JSS is at v8.1. (I do have notes for the JAMF
conference that indicate newer versions of Self-Service will not run on 10.4
computers.)

Mark,
I have recreated the package and now it appears to be working.
And as a matter of fact, the way i discovered this problem is with the
policy removing the current versions of recon and self service and
replacing them with older versions.
Self Service does still work in 10.4.11, but does not have the new
WebClip feature.
I initially started out using the Framework to install Self Service
(new feature), but have since back-peddled to installing with policy
since I have some 10.4.11 computers where Self-Service will still be
useful...
Appreciate you checking back in!
