I have an app that uses push notifications - enterprise signed. Sample deployment history via JAMF:
v 2 - no push notifications
v 2.1 - no push notifications, app installed over old version
v 2.2 - added (firebase) push notifications, app had to be deleted first before new version would install
- launch app in single app mode, it asked for permission to get push notifications
v2.3 - app installed over old version
- launch app in single app mode, it asked for permission to get push notifications
I have two questions:
1) Why didn't iOS allow version 2.2 to install over 2.1?
2) Besides a new version, no new signing profiles/etc... were added to v2.3, yet the app asked a second time to allow push notifications. Is there a way for force accept push notifications?
(FYI - we are using iPads as room signage)
