Single App Mode - Home button

Hi All
We have a very secure corporate wifi network where we have managed to get iOS devices connected to using AC2 and a Wifi Profile.
We want our iPads to run in Single App Mode (Safari), however I've found that the iPads will randomly drop the Wifi connection.

When connection drops, the Wifi connection doesnt kick in automatically, so the user would have to go into Settings. However with Single App Mode applied, the home button is disabled as well as the Power button preventing reboots.

The reason for Single App Mode for us is to restrict access to Music, app store and alike.

Is there something I can do within Single App mode to help get into Settings once the connection drops or is there a way to lock down the iPad enough so that Music, iBooks, App Store, Maps, Videos etc are all not available but Settings is?
Cheers!

We're basically trying to run iPads in as close to a kiosk mode as possible
