So we are a cloud hosted and I wondered if some of the tales of old around nested smart groups still apply, particularly around the performance of the JSS, or has that all been fixed with the move to cloud?
Basically I am creating Smart user groups based on the Position field (which comes from the description field of AD) which will generate individual year groups, nested into an all school student group, which then nests into another group hosting all students across a number of schools. i.e all school users. With a similar approach for staff. before nesting into an all user group containing staff and students.
Basically, we are going to have an awfully high number of users and a very high number of nested smart groups.
Has anyone configured something similar?
