Wondering if anyone else has run into this issue? I have a number of iphones that needed to be enrolled and I would like to send them an invitation via SMS test (Verizon). We use gmail for email. Doesn't seem to be related to the JSS version because it worked intermittently on Casper 9.4 and we're on 9.65 now.
Fixed myself. Issue was with the SMTP settings on JSS. If you're using smtp.gmail.com port 465 w/ SSL encryption, make sure that the account you're using for authentication doesn't have 2step verification set up
