Can anyone share their experience with SplashBuddy? It looks great but I see a lot of issues. It does seem like the developer maintains it. Just seeing if that is better than just something like DEP Notify. https://marketplace.jamf.com/details/splashbuddy/

I personally prefer DEP Notify but had good success with SplashBuddy early on (education BYOD and DEP). If I were to move back in that direction I would probably choose octory.io (The paid/commercial version of SplashBuddy). For now, I am sticking with DEPNotify as we're headed toward JAMF Connect and want to utilize that set of tools more directly.
I personally found that SplashBuddy required more steps for me to configure than DEPNotify, but I am simple and utilized the DEPNotify Starter scripts and moved on from there. In the end, for us, DEPNotify is simply faster, and in my opinion, easier to reconfigure. That said, I haven't used it in two years and I've never used octory at all (Outside of test/demo).

I echo @Chris_Hafner comments on DEP Notify and its ease of configurability. Being the "everything guy" in a smaller K12 means I have less time to play around with things. The simpler the better I say!

Thank you all for the feedback. I decided to just go with DEP Notify.

I was just getting around to test this out but I noticed that the latest version of DEPNotify does not have a pkg file. Most of the guides I found to set it up reference a pkg file. The latest version I see pkg for is 1.1.4. Should I download that and then upgrade? What's your experience?

@mwu1876 The latest version is 1.1.6 but it's not available in pkg or zip form yet. For a pkg or zipped app stick to 1.1.5
