I have an issue with time machine and backup permissions.
Users at my institution were using their iMacs with a local account and I've migrated them to a domain account. This particular scientist had their machine backed up every few hours with time machine.
When I look at their folders, the data was backed up with their local account and the folder is listed as that name in the "users" folder with a red circle - meaning they do not have permission to the folder. This is because their domain account is now first initial last name.
How do I fix the permissions on so many backups because it is the same user but using their domain account.
