Hi all,
I am doing some testing with the TimeMachine Configuration Profile.
I have set the profile to be install Automatically on Computer Level.
Also set the destination (Synology NAS configured for TimeMachine), disabled the box "Backup All volumes", Disabled the box "Backup system files and folders", Enabled the box "Enable automatic backups", Enabled "local snapshots"
I have set no limit in backup size
Set no Paths to backup (startup volume is always backed up)
And set up a path to skip (~/Downloads)
No I do see this profile being pushed to a client.
And I have different outcomes:
1 (client has no TimeMachine configured previously to profile push): TimeMachine is Configured and is running automatically. But when I read the TimeMachine.plist I am missing the option Autobackup = 1 (many scripts are checking this value) and also my excluded folder(s) are NOT excluded.
2 (client has a local TimeMachine configured previously to profile push): TimeMachine Configuration is not changed at all.....
We are running all Yosemite clients. Casper version is 9.82
Anyone have any insight ?
Is there a way to read out the configuration profile being pushed by casper?
Regards
